Chronic open-angle glaucoma is the most common type of glaucoma.
This type is symptom-less and usually occurs over the age of 40. Chronic
open-angle glaucoma may develop with aging, which causes a decrease in the
eye’s draining capacity. When this occurs, eye pressure slowly mounts
which harms the optic nerve.
