Congenital glaucoma is present at, or shortly after birth, usually
caused by a defect in the draining system of the eye. Any infant who has
increased sensitivity to light or eyes that easily fill up with tears
should be immediately evaluated to determine the nature of the problem to
prevent sight damage.
